John Fitch vs. Thiago Alves 2 Predictions

Okay so I wanted to start talking about their previous fight in which John Fitch won by TKO via head kick followed up with some ground and pound in the second round.

This fight was a pretty high pace match up which Fitch controled every second of, it starts out with one of Thiago's impeccible leg kicks which actually causes Fitch to fall to the ground but when Alves tries to keep John on his back Fitch quikly reverses it and Thiago ends up on his back. Thiago actually tries to go for a couple good submissions but John is relentless with his ground and pound and blocks every one of them. The whole first round basically goes with good ground and pound by Fitch, and good submission attemps by Alves.

The second round starts off a little different with a high kick by Fitch and then a double leg takedown. Thiago manages to shrug him off for just enough time to get up, but fitch immidiatly holds him up agianst the cage and then takes him down again. He holds Thiago down for a little while and then takes his back and goes for a rear naked choke, after a while of strugling Alves manages to get to Fitch's guard. Then comes the end of the fight which is actually a very impresive, Fitch gets to full mount, but Thiago escapes yet Fitch is able to grab his arm. Thiago pulls his arm fast which forces Fitch to let go, but then Fitch, from his back, hits a spectacular head kick which stuns Thiago, who falls to the ground, and then Fitch pounds him for a few seconds and then the referee stops the fight.

John Fitch absolutely controled Thiago for both rounds, having said that and taking into consideration Thiago Alves' improved striking I think if Thiago can keep the fight on his feet he will knock out John Fitch.

Anderson Silva #1 P4P MMA Fighter in the World

Anderson Silva is considered to be the pound for pound best fighter in the world today. No body in the UFC has even come close to beating him, we are not talking about him fighting mediocre fighters and excelling in his matches, we are talking about being tested (Or at least that's what the UFC match makers have in mind) in every fight!! Being put up against amazing fighters and just making them look bad!! (Rich Franklin, Forrest Griffin, Nate Marquardt, Chris Leben, James Irvin to name a few) In his last fight against Forrest Griffin he absolutely decimated him with his over whelming superiority, he made Forrest look like an amateur in what Joe Rogan called the "Most embarrising knock out in UFC history".
In his upcoming fight with Damian Maia there is not one aspect in Damian's game that I believe exceeds Anderson's incredible abilities, sure his Jiu Jitsu is unbelieveble, but people forget, because of Silva's picture perfect striking, how impresive and underrated his Jiu Jitsu is.
When you think about it there is no one in the two-o-five nor the one-eighty-five division that is even near Silva's level! The only way I see Anderson loosing in 2010 is if either Fedor Emilianenko dropped down to two-o-five and Anderson jumped up to it (Which I belive would be a close match) or Goerge St-Pierre jumped up to one-eighty-five.
Here are some gif. pictures of Anderson's and Forrest epic fight
