I am probably Anderson's biggest fan and I would be lying if I said this was both an interesting match as much as a close match. At the beggining of this fight, if we can even call it that, Silva was displaying his incredibly wide knowledge in martial arts by taking stances of various martial arts such as Tea Kwon Do, Capoeira, and Muay Thai. When this match started I thought that it was going to go very simmilar to the Forrest Griffin fight but as it got out of the second round I knew something was wrong. First round basically goes Anderson, Anderson, Anderson he fought Maia with his hands below his weight the whole round, he was landing some incredible kicks and punches. The second round went pretty simmilar, but, in my opinion, Anderson started getting a little to cocky, mocking and insulting Demian during the fight. The third round started of much the same as the previous ones but during the half way point of the round Silva basically went from total offence to total defence. He just kind of stood there with Maia not doing much but just landing a couple jabs and avoiding bieng taken down for the duration of not only that round but the whole fight.
I know that Anderson is going to get bashed on allot because of this fight and becuase of it he is gonna have allot to prove, which has happened before. And an Anderson Silva alone is a scary guy but an Anderson Silva with something to prove is a wrecking ball and I'm looking foward to his next fight.
